Bio
I come from a gaming family, where games served as a social
center on which friendship and communication thrived. Gambling
was not a part of these rituals, only becoming a part of my
life when I started playing cards for a living, traveling
around the world as I did. I played poker professionally from
2000-2004, removing myself from full-time play to focus on
my writing.
Career
I began writing about games in 1997, writing for the Magic
Dojo, then a number of others before taking a job as staff
writer of www.sideboard.com. I co-founded www.wisehandpoker.com
in May of 2005 and spend far too much time working to further
it now. My work has appeared in Bluff Magazine and on espn.com,
and I’m the official blogger of the World Poker Tour.
Interests and Hobbies
Poker, baseball, travel, architecture, film, popular culture
and writing.
