I spent the past year on the tournament poker trail, traveling from Vegas to Foxwoods, Atlantic City to Reno and played the main event of the WSOP for the first time in 2006, finishing 767th for $16,000 and change. I’m now in graduate school at the University of Alabama, studying marketing.
I worked as a newspaper reporter for six years, most of them with The Tuscaloosa News and my articles have appeared in such papers as The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and St. Louis Post Dispatch. I wrote for Party Poker during the 2006 World Series of Poker, covering the event for them on PokerBlog.com.
Poker, movies, video games, reading, writing, all the usual stuff.
I’m trying to write a book on the travels of the past year and I also have a blog at PokerNation.blogspot.com whenever I update it. I continue to write strategy columns for Wise Hand Poker and The New York Times Regional Newspaper Group.
