Bio
I graduated from UC Davis over a year ago, where I played
volleyball and wrote a column for the sports section in The
California Aggie. Davis was also where I got my introduction
to poker through weekly home games; I would host no-limit
hold’em freeze-outs at the pool table in my room. I
continue to play in cash games and tournaments, primarily
at limit hold’em tables online. I have also kept writing
as well, which has led me to Wise Hand Poker. My best finish
in a live tournament was at the Media/Celebrity event at the
2006 World Series of Poker. I took 18th place out of the 250+
who entered. Although I did not win, I survived longer than
Shannon Elizabeth; I would not have been able to live with
myself if I had not.
Career
After college I worked for the San Francisco Chronicle
in the human resources department before accepting an offer
to join the tournament coverage team for Card Player Magazine
as an intern at the 2006 WSOP. After the conclusion of the
tournament I began writing content for Wise Hand Poker. I
now cover World Poker Tour events as a part of the tournament
coverage team.

Writing
The majority of my poker writing has been online tournament
coverage for Card Player and the World Poker Tour.
One of my WSOP event recaps was published in Card Player
Magazine. I have also provided strategy, tips and news
content for BetHoldem.com. All of my prior news writing experience
has been through sports reporting in high school and college.
