Bio

While Tom only first discovered poker three years ago after the famed run by Chris Moneymaker at the 2003 World Series, he has been playing cards in one form or another for virtually his entire life. During family gathering, multiple games of Pinochle and Bridge would spread throughout the entire house. While most children his age would be playing with toys, or tossing a football around Tom was inside, intently watching his grandfather riffle through his hand looking for the perfect card to play.

Poker was a natural transition for this lifelong gamesman. His hobby started simply as watching poker on television and playing home games with friends. It evolved into becoming a true student of the game educating himself with every piece of poker literature he could get his hands on.

After graduating from Bloomsburg University in 2005 Tom decided to follow his passion for the game. Since then he has logged thousands of hours playing and began focusing on the journalistic opportunities that poker provides. He has experience covering tournaments, including the largest in the world - the 2006 WSOP Main Event where he provided content for Card Player Media, AOL.com and Harrahs Entertainment. He is also an accomplished player and enjoys all forms of poker, concentrating most of his efforts on No-Limit Hold'em cash games.

Currently, you can find Tom writing in his suburban Philadelphia home, grinding it out at various poker sites or at the tables of Atlantic City.
