OK, inaccurate title, since it’s 6:10 AM, meaning it’s tonight’s show. Still, we have one hell of a lineup and I thought you kiddies would want to know about it.
We have two pre-receorded interviews; one with Daniel negreanu, who checks in during his pre-WSOP month of tranquility, and one with author Des Wilson, who’s released a wonderful new book on the history of poker called ‘Ghosts at the Table’. Finally, we’ll have a live interview with 1994 WSOP champion and Ultimate Blackjack Tour CEO Russ Hamilton, who will be talking about the similarities between the production of televised poker and blackjack, along with some golf hustling tales and reminiscences of his championship.
It should be a great show. Remember to check it out at 8PM ESTWednesday night over on roundersradio.com. I’m going to sleep.

When I was 8 I was best friends at summer camp with a guy named Brian DiCandilo. He has a sister named Sara, who I have maybe met five times in my entire life. Apparently I made quite an impact on her.
A Facebook alert I got today:
“Sara DiCandilo has just compared you with one of her friends and thinks you are more trustworthy.”
Ok cool, can I borrow like $3,000? jshronk on stars.

Hello all, this is my first post on this here wonderful site. I’ve known one Gary J. Wise for a few years now and must say he is generally an upstanding citizen (although he is a bit of a dirty fantasy baseball player.) I’ve written numerous articles for WHP in the past, but have been mostly absent recently. It’s good to be back.
First, a little about me: I am 31, recently married, live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, (ROLL TIDE) and have been playing and writing about poker on a professional basis for three years. I left my newspaper job in 2005 to pursue a book and travel the country to the various tournaments. I went to Vegas (twice), Atlantic City, Foxwoods, Tunica and Reno. I had a ball, but got no book deal. So it was back to school for a master’s degree in 2006-07. Funny thing was, after I graduated last May I just didn’t want to go back to the daily grind of office work. So I said, “I’ll look for a job after the World Series.” And I honestly did look for work following the WSOP, but I got no job I really liked. So rather than take some crappy job I would hate I’ve stuck it out writing about and playing poker.
Now I do have some good work, although it isn’t full time. I am an editor with Rounder magazine. We’re in our second year and we’re growing. I think we are continually putting out a better product each month.
It’s a recent interview for the magazine that inspired the following:
You spend enough time in a casino and time carries no relevance for you. Case in point, Monday night I came in from a bad night of poker in town and slipped into bed after midnight. At about 1:30 a.m. my wife and I were awakened by my beeping cell phone.
The message read as follows: “Lookr like in the morning wil call u wen i wake”
That came courtesy of Tom Schneider, who I’m profiling for the May issue of Rounder. Two things seemed apparent. One, he needs a teenager to teach him how to type text messages and two, he has spent too much time in casinos, warping his sense of time.
All kidding aside, I’m not sure he realized I’m over in CST. I had met him in Tunica in January and finally got around to calling him for the interview. Procrastination = my friend. Nice guy that Schneider, even if he did wake me up.

I’ve watched all 6.5 seasons of Scrubs in the last month or so. I’m hypercritical of TV shows, so me recommending this one means that it’s better than whatever you watch.
Here is probably my favorite comedic moment of the series thus far:

Here are some moments from Scrubs’ other side:
Colin Hay appears on Season 2 premiere - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JPzi1Su9T4
This is everyone who doesn’t hate The Fray’s favorite moment. The Fray obv. sucks. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzDoqGGs1IM
A very well-edited compilation of Scrubs moments - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZXfMnPp30c

Hey guys,
just a note to tell you about tonight’s show. We’re going to have Jennifer “Jennicide” Leigh, who just recently graced the pages of Playboy Magazine, and then an interview i pre-recorded last night with Joe Hachem. Joe’s had a tough week with a blowup in Monte Carlo, a flight to Vegas and then a hand at the WPT championship where some people are saying Joe made the worst fold in major tournament history. He talked with me about both incidents, explaining his thoguhts on the whole thing.
it’s going be a good show and should put a lot of debate to bed. Be sure to check it out tonight at 8 PM EST over at roundersradio.com.

Internet phenom Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan has won tens of millions online over his short career, but definitely suffered a loss the night before the WPT Championship. Although chronically late, Tom promised that he would be on time to a bar to meet his friends including Alan Sass. Tom was late and, as a result, would have to wear a different hat of Alan’s choosing for the duration of the WPT championship. The hat from Day 1 was either stolen or accidentally thrown away, but we have procured the pink feather hat the Tom wore on Day 2. We decided that with all of Tom’s recent exposure and his hoards of fanboys online, we could probably get a decent amount of money for charity if we auctioned off the hat. The proceeds will go to a charity of either Tom or the winner’s choosing (or some kind of split).

I’m not sure what repairs are being done to the apartment complex pool (which is about 50 inches from my bedroom window) at 8am this morning, but it sounds serious. From what I could tell auditorially, they are attempting to tunnel to middle earth using a nuclear powered pneumatic power needle. There also might be a laser-plasma wrecking ball and twelve or thirteen thousand guys shooting assault rifles at it.

The title screens for Juno and that new movie Remember Sarah Something with the guy from the show with Doogie Howser are exactly the same. Is the entertainment industry really out of ideas to such an extent that they can’t even come up with original title screens anymore?
