Wise Hand Poker

Just got the participants in tomorrow night's show confirmed, and it's going to be a good one; first, we'll have Mori Eskandani joining us. mori is the executive producer of both of NBC's poker shows --Poker After Dark and the National HeadsUp Poker Championship-- and he's given me permission to ask him anything and everything about the selection process for the NHUPC, including the business deals that isolate certain spots and the most notable snubs from this year's event.

After Mori, we'll be joined by one of this year's biggest NHUPC snubs and one of the best tournament players in the world, Nam Le. We're going to mostly be talking to Nam about being an overlooked superstar of the game; does he ever get the urge to act out for the cameras? Did he feel overlooked att he LAPC final table when he was overshadowed by Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey? Did he feel slighted at his not getting an NHUPC invite? Are asian poker players in general gettign a raw deal on the business side of poker? These are all serious questions and he's going to give us some serious answers.

In addition, I'm going to talk a bit about my participation in recently leaked 60 Minutes' story on the Absolute Poker scandal. I'm proud to say it was my unpublished article that perked their ears, a fact I've been silent about until now because they asked I be. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I feel like I can at least touch on some of the things we've discussed and what I hope to see come out of the piece. not trying to steal the spotlight though; in the end, this is a story about the people who collaborated to bring Absolute's indiscretions to light.
