A reasonably quick introduction

I'm very excited that Gary has invited me to blog on his site, and since almost no one here but Gary knows me, I'm going to kick off with a quick introduction. I know Gary from my time as a mediocre professional Magic: The Gathering Player, which gave me an early start in professional gaming. About 16 months ago, the game store I owned in Atlanta, GA was burglarized for what was most of the value I had spent years accumulating. I made the decision to sell the store, and turn my poker hobby into a full time profession. Many of my friends had already become full time online players, and I put my nose to the grindstone and made it happen. I'm now part of a reasonably large community of online pros here in the A-town, all of us with our gaming roots entrenched in Magic. I'm a low limit player still, floating around between 2-4 and 5-10 limit. I'm just starting to learn the tournament game, with almost all of my tournament experience in single table tournaments. I'll try to document the interesting parts of my poker education here, and other observations relevant to the poker community. Hopefully, it will be as entertaining for anyone who reads it as it is for me to write.
