Killing Some Time

I’m just taking a break from working on a project for this here website. There are a lot of cool things going on here. If you haven’t taken time to check out the WSOP bracket and vote, you should do so. I like the idea of this a lot. It should be interesting to see how it turns out.

I haven’t had much time to watch this year’s WSOP episodes. I have a slow-pitch softball league on Tuesday nights preventing me form being able to watch. I was able to see the re-airing of Allen Cunningham’s win this week. If you saw him win last year, you might remember him going into the crowd and telling his girlfriend that he never knows what to do when he wins. Well, I think it showed when he won this year. He stood there and just starred at what I assume was the table for a while. He then just sat back down in his chair waiting for the ceremonies to begin. He might not know what to do after he wins, but he sure knows how to play poker.

A tournament on Full Tilt is drawing my attention. It is part of the FTOPS V, and I believe it is the first ever multi-day online tournament. The $2,500 buy-in and great structure attracted a lot of big names. If some big names make it to tomorrow, I will probably spend some time watching it. Friend of the site Mark Newhouse was in this tournament. Unfortunately, he has already been eliminated.

I have to thank Jennifer Newell and any readers that have been keeping my father and my family in their thoughts. It is much appreciated.
