I finally received the official word from the Bike last night at about 8:00pm pst. Several of the employees were very instrumental in helping me convince management to allow the Fallen Heroes Tournament to be held at the Bike.

Denny Williams,Ron Cramer, The wonderful Kelly Ohara and Tom Budds thank you for your diligence.

Now I have the task of trying to obtain our goal of 250-300 people to attend. We will be posting a flyer here at wisehand very soon with all the details. If you want to pre-register or you have some questions please contact me at smdiamon@lasd.org and I will send you a flyer. This is a fantastic cause and It's only about 2 months away. The WPT has committed to sponsorship which goes to show you the importance of this event as well as Full Tilt Poker who I cannot thank enough for their contributions last year and what they have set aside for this next event. Jim Pittman who donated the money to buy our challenge/card protector coins and for Mark Seif Shawn Sheikhan and Linda Johnson for being huge supporters of this event.

Gary Wise will be talking about this event on a upcoming episode of Rounders Radio and I will be on Holdem radio with Earl Burton sometime next month and Craig and I will be doing a Sunday morning broadcast on ESPN Radio here In Los Angeles.Poker player Newspaper will be donating ad space for our event as well as "The Scene" a new up and coming Poker Magazine.

So we are going to get the word out but the best way is by word of mouth and I am hoping for all of you the readers help with that portion of it. It was a great success last year and this year is going to be even better.

Several pro poker players have told me schedule permitting they will be there. This is a great opportunity to get up close and take some pictures and get autographs from some of the top names in the Poker Community.

J.C. Tran who just won the 5,000.00 NL Holdem tournament at the Bellagio said he will stop by. J.C. is an outstanding gentleman. I met him last year at the LAPC. Nam Le introduced me to him and he was very friendly. J.C. made the final table (again) at the LAPC only to get another disappointing beat and finish 2nd. Well Craig and I were there for the taping as Linda Johnson's guest. We talked to the audience about the Charity event as the WPT and Linda brought me up on stage and introduced me to the crowd. It was a shining moment for me and a very nervous one.

After the final table finished J.C. being the gentleman he is came over to us and wished us the best with our tournament. This just showed me his character. Here he had just taken another beat at the LAPC and still was gracious enough to have a conversation with us when all his friends were waiting for him.

There have been several of the professional poker players show interest in the Charity. Andrew Black reached into his pocket last year and gave me $300.00 and John Gale donated $400.00. I have never never asked one of the players to donate money to the Charity. I think this would be tasteless. I would rather have them show up and support the event. If they want to donate on their own that is fine,but I would like for them to tell all their friends to come out and play the event this year.

Mr Seif I hope your day is good also. Shawn I know you will be playing the cash games there today so the best of skill to you also. Linda is on a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Rivera right now along with the winner of last years charity event. So I wish all my friends the best this week as well as the upcoming New Year. Without those three I mentioned the Charity Event would have not been as succesful as it was. With their support this year its going to be even better. Thank You again!!

Also if anyone wants one of our coins to use as a card protector I can email you a picture of it and if you like it mail it to you. But if you play in the Event you get one at registration.
