I played my second event Sunday Night at the Commerce casino's Holiday Bonus Tournament. I told you all how well I had been playing last week when 2 incredible hands took me out.

I was determined to have a good showing at this event and so far in satellite play I am up 1800.00.

I have my buy ins for Tuesday Nights Deepstack and for Wednesday Night $545.00 event.I really was trying to save those chips for the main event this weekend, but I cannot get off of work and I have played two $225.00 events so I am a few hundred short.

The beauty of playing the satellites at Commerce, those chips are good for any event. If I have some left over I will probably just sell them for face value and use the money at the Bikes upcoming Ho Ho Holdem Series.

I was absolutely card Dead Sunday Night. I made a couple of moves to stay a float for four levels but I pushed my last 3600 chips ( started with 5000) with QQ after a raise in front of me. She called the extra 1800 and showed KQ and a K was on the flop.If I had more chips she would of folded but I was so Card dead!!

I feel good at the tables though and several of my friends wore the FallenHeroesLA.org patches while they played, thanks to Paul, Linda, Brian C. and Brian S and to Javier who played his first ever tournament in a Casino and went very deep.

The patch is starting to get around and there are more and more players saying how great a cause it is.

There were 472 players who entered Sunday Night and this was after Saturdays Guarantee 200,000 pot was cancelled. The tournament went on, just not the guarantee, because the freeways were jammed with people fleeing all the fires we had here in Southern Calif.

Cherri Dokken, the retired Tournament Director came buy and played. Cherri brought along some pictures of her new 2 1/2 acre spread she bought in Jackson Tennessee, awesome looking home!

My confidence is up and I am ready took take one of these upcoming tournaments first place trophies home!
