Wise Hand Poker Tournament...?

Today as I was messing around with my PokerStars account, I noticed that my account has been set up to host private tournaments for the past 2 years... but I have yet to host one!

Perhaps it's time.

I'm hoping this thread will serve as an interest list of some sort. The idea would be to have a "Wise Hand Poker Tournament" once a week or so, with the contestants being WHP authors and forum members. Ideally, the tournament would help generate more interest in the forum and also give someone around here bragging rights.

That said, I'd like to hear from you guys about your preferred tournament structure. Buy-in? NL, PL, limit? Heads-up matches or 9 handed? What time of day/night you'd prefer to play, etc. Though there are options to play Omaha, Stud, Razz, HOSE and HORSE, I figured we aught to start with Hold'em, for obvious reasons.

Let me know what you guys think... let's get it crackin!

Just so we can accomodate as many people as possible I would suggest an 8:30 EST start time.

do we need to sign up with the same poker room as you and deposit money to play in the tournament? I guess that's the case, right?

The tournament will be held at Poker Stars, so you would have to set up an account there. As for funding your account, other than depositing yourself, if you know anyone who plays there personally, maybe try setting up a transfer. The process is very, very simple at Poker Stars - you can send as little as $0.01 and as far as I know there is no max.

Don't forget to take advantage of the deposit bonus if indeed you do sign up and fund your account the traditional way.

I would love to play in these tournaments and I think it will definitely bring more people to wisehandpoker.com
